Prof Ngatchu

Dr Theodore Ngatchu is a highly skilled Consultant Gastroenterologist with a broad range of expertise. He completed his medical studies at the University of Padua, known as the oldest medical school in the world, where he focused his undergraduate thesis on viral hepatitis. He then pursued postgraduate training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the same institution, earning an MD thesis for his research on Liver Chemistry in heart transplant patients. Seeking further professional development, Dr Ngatchu relocated to the UK and obtained a Membership in the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). He underwent additional training in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Therapeutic Endoscopy at renowned London Teaching Hospitals, including the Royal Free Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, and The Hammersmith Hospital. Currently, Dr Ngatchu serves as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and General Physician in Birmingham. His special interests lie in the field of liver diseases, encompassing both diagnosis and treatment. He also possesses expertise in the management of disorders affecting the stomach, small intestine, and large bowel. Moreover, Dr Ngatchu has a strong proficiency in therapeutic endoscopy, employing advanced techniques to address various gastrointestinal conditions.
