Mr Loy is an experienced Consultant Upper GI and Bariatric Surgeon, specialising in weight loss surgery. He has received comprehensive training, including a Royal College of Surgeons Fellowship in Bariatric Surgery and a year of invaluable experience at NYU Langone Medical Centre with Professors George and Christine Fielding, renowned experts in the field. Operating a busy full-time NHS weight loss surgery practice, Mr Loy is highly regarded and receives tertiary referrals for primary and complex revisional surgeries. He is also involved in surgical teaching coordination for Queen Mary University Barts and the London medical students at Homerton University Hospital. Most recently, Mr Loy had the privilege of spending a year at the internationally renowned NYU Langone Bariatric Surgery Unit in New York. There, he worked alongside Professors George and Christine Fielding, gaining invaluable experience in one of the busiest bariatric units in the world. Mr Loy holds memberships in prestigious organizations, including the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society, the Association of Upper GI Surgeons, and the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland.
